Review summary

Nice cruise, but somewhat boring if you been to Alaska before. Nothing new. Fun excursions though. Princess needs to update their cruising model. Getting dated. Newest ship Discovery is the same as all the others. Nothing new. Food was middle of the road, crew were excellent and very polite. Guest Naturalist was excellent and made the cruise into Endicott Arm memorable.

Arrived too late to experience. arrived 7pm, departed 11pm. Shouldn't have been advertised as a port stop. Poor location outside of town also.

Thanks for your review. Victoria BC is a required legal stop/port. We didn’t disembark there as we were exhausted after stopping at all the gorgeous Alaskan ports. We also loved Discovery Princess (she is a gorgeous ship and also liked the buffet ). Maybe you ought to research a luxury line. We are going on Discovery Princess again in a couple months we enjoyed it so much-and Alaska!

Alaska doesn't change from year to year, except for the weather. Not sure what you expected from the cruise. Perhaps if you think princess is dated, then use a different cruise line. I cruise to Alaska every year, and its the same, but I enjoy the views and serenity of Alaska. I was just on Discovery Princess a few weeks ago and had a great time and I thought the food was amazing in all the venues, not just upcharge ones.
