I really don’t think I would cruise on princess cruise lines anymore. Changed our excursions, and didn’t even explain why or why we didn’t get tickets for our excursions on the port we didn’t get to go to. Excursion desk was constantly closed and customer service couldn’t help us. Spent more time going back-and-forth trying to reach somebody.

The grill specialty restaurant was excellent. The buffets and dining room really were not good at all. One night prime rib was good rest really stunk. Only had one dining room open for majority of ship, two crowded couldn’t get seated before 7:38 PM at night

Cabin Stewart was good, dining room was horrible.
Ship Quality

Layout was funky, on floors five and six you had to go up or down to get back to level five or six. Everyone was walking around wondering where to go.

When I booked they said there was an obstructed view usually a pole or something, I wish I would’ve known it was a whole life boat. I called American Airlines to see if we could move rooms, they could not help. I went to customer service they said the boat was at 100 capacity and could not move rooms, I found out that was false and not true. Not accommodating at all. I would like a call back from AmericanAirlines regarding this issue please. 520-204-3717
Did not get to go, so we went to icy streets instead. Way too long to spend seven or eight hours. Compared to only four hours in Victoria. Kind of sucked.
As others have stated, it sounds like you are an inexperienced cruiser and definitely didn't do your research. I cruised on the Majestic Princess (similar to Discovery)to Alaska and have difficulty believing your entire cruise was that bad. Some of your complaints display your lack of understanding of how cruises work.
Wishing you the best on your next vacation.
According to your stateroom number, you booked a BW class balcony, the lowest in the balcony category. Here are the PUBLISHED notes for BW: “obstructed view due to solid steel railings or top of lifeboats.” The Discovery Princess was built in 2022 😳… maybe cruising isn’t for you!
I was on Discovery Princess a month ago and absolutely no issues and had a great cruise. Perhaps cruising isn't for you, especially when it seems you failed to research the ship you were cruising on. At some point in a person's life, they have to accept blame for poor decisions and not blame others. As I mentioned earlier, I had no issues and I feel this review is biased in many ways and maybe even exaggerated.
Sounds like cruising may not be for you or you need to do more research on ports, room locations, etc. when booking. It is likely no one from Princess or American Airlines will see this review and it’s not a good idea to post your personal phone number on a public forum.
