This was our first cruise and I was worried that being in our late thirties there wouldn't be much to do but it caters for most people.

Japan was wonderful but we would never use the Princess Cruise line ever again.

Just finished the Japanese tour on Diamond Princess. Embarked at Keelung, Taipei and wished we had the option of embarking at Tokyo; at least there were disembarkation excursions in Tokyo to the airport whereas we couldn't have anything in Taipei. Princess even cancelled the city excursions in Tokyo because they were apparently 'unsubscribed' ... not happy at all as we were not informed that British, US and Australian citizens were a minority on this cruise! The Horizon is best described as a cafe ... what decent restaurant has plastic cups, mugs and plates? We were informed by regular Princess cruisers that this is the case on all Princess ships; this is sub-standard and very disappointing. The service was excellent however, and could not fault the staff. This was our first and last cruise with Princess.

Overall, I enjoyed my cruise and satisfied. Despite some issues I enjoyed myself and made the most of the trip. I didn't have any bad experiences that made me hate my trip. I dealt with matters in the most positive way I could. I enjoy cruising and will cruise again whether with Princess cruises or others.

It was great, good ship, clean, good itinerary, great food, nice and very weloming staffs.

Just came off the Diamond Princess today. What an experience. Only started cruising relatively recently and have been on 3 cruises prior viz RCL Quantum of the Seas, Norwegian Spirit and P&O Aurora. Embarkation was a breeze. Within an hour of arriving at the terminal in Singapore, we were in our cabin. Smiles all around and with clinical efficiency. Meals were ready in the Horizon buffet and there was a splendid assortment. Something for everyones taste. We had booked early dining ( 5 30 pm ) in Vivaldi. Our waiter was Budy. What a Gem. He attended to us as if we were the only guests aboard. Absolute pampering. The meals were excellent, and a variety of options to choose from. Every night was a first class dining experience. Massive size and portions of prawn on a regular basis. Unlimited lobster on the Captains gala night. Breakfast and Lunch daily at the Horizon was fantastic. Variety of meals on a daily basis, and desserts to pile on the kilos. Wonderful culinary experience. The ship is beautiful, and immaculate. There was never any smell anywhere on the ship , as i have experienced on previous cruises. The shows were wonderful and professional. Absolute delightful entertainment every evening. Lyn was a fantastic cruise director, and interacted with the guests. Chatting to everyone and her bubbly enthusiasm rubbing off onto all. Movies under the stars was fantastic, and with popcorn and blankets provided. The cabins were lovely and spacious, and Chet ensured it was always immaculate. The destinations were excellent, and included Kota Kinabalu, Nha Trang , Phu My , Laem Chebang and Koh Samui. We did most of the exploring on our own , and thoroughly enjoyed. I would attribute everything good on this ship to one individual and that is the Captain. He was always around the ship and i had many opportunities to chat to him. Such a simple man , but with a golden heart. First time i saw a Captain of the ship, was on this cruise . On all previous cruises , i only saw a photo of the Captain in the daily ship bulletin. We were fortunate to be invited to the bridge , and spent an enjoyable and informative 60 minutes in his company. Everything on this ship surprises me. Even with all the documents required at the various ports, you are practically spoonfed. They fill in everything on the forms and tell you where to sign. How much more stress free can this be. My heartfelt gratitude to the Captain and Staff of Diamond Princess. My expectations were overwhelmingly surpassed.

Foods sucks. Horizon buffet too crowded. I will not take cruise if it’sDiamond Princess. Warning not yo take this ship. Food not great. Same everyday. Not much vhoices for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Buffet room tooooo crowded.

I loved the ports we went to and at almost every port the people came out to give us a warm send off. This was the ships first time in a couple ports and they seemed to go out of their way to make us feel welcome! In Iwakuni they even had fireworks as we left. In Toba we were anchored off shore and when left, the town people came out in a ferry and played music and waved as we left and two Japanese coast guard ships shot water into the air. It was amazing!

Can’t wait till our Asia trip. Expecting great accommodations like our other princess cruises one port better than the next. Bucket list check check. Safe travels

cabin and dining was excellent. staff were very accomodating but was disappointed with drink management as our complaint was never answered.

La ruta está espectacular! Realmente el destino de Japón vale todo el esfuerzo. El barco no es el mejor pero la línea de crucero hace la diferencia con el servicio y la calidad de la comida. El grupo de entretenimiento también hacen la diferencia. Definitivamente el crucero no sería lo mismo sin ellos y sin el personal de servicio en los restaurantes y en el buffet.

This was our first cruise with Princess and we loved it. For us this is on the same level as Celebrity, and we will surely book with them again. The service is excellent, the food very good and we had no remarkt or complaints on the organization.

Great cruise spoilt only by incoming Typoon Jebi. Ports all good, supported by a great crew.

This cruise is an experience that I will NEVER forget. All staff were wonderful, professional and extremely friendly. Well done Diamond Princess!! I am definitely booking another Princess cruise!!

The staff were great. As an elite passenger i was shocked to find that Princess has introduce a class system "club class" . We were allowed to eat dinner in the resturant but not breakfast. Once i explained i don't believe in the class system as everyone should be treated the same. After i expressed this, they sorted this out by moving us to the pacific moon and the staff made us feel like family. Thanks for sorting this out and it made us very happy. If there is a club class dining room, they need to keep it just for this class and not mix others. To be fair, this is my point of view only, Others maybe happy with it

The weather turned it on for our cruise beautiful 30c days,lots of swimming reading and eating the highest quality of food.Our best cruise yet but we are planning more with princess cruises.

Breakfast and lunch at the buffet restaurant is good. There are lots of attendants at the buffet restaurant and tables get clean up pretty fast. Dinner at the main dinning room is not bad either except I do not like the time arrangement, 2 choice of dinner time, either 5:45pm or 7:45pm. You are required to sit at the same table and at the same restaurant. Another I hate is captain night which request you bring a suit. The entertainment on board is pretty good. Since it is a cruise go around Japan, more than half are Japanese. The on-shore excursion for Japanese speaking is about 30% cheaper than the English speaking tours.

Full marks to Princess for superb and energetic cruise directors and staff with great personalities. The trip ashore in Aomori was memorable. The cherry trees were in full bloom

All staff were wonderful, and we really enjoyed the entertainment. Our only issue was our port excursions. All of the excursions we chose, and paid good money for, were listed as needing moderate walking abilities. Many times we had people with mobility scooters and walking frames which held up departure made boarding and disembarking buses difficult and slow. As lovely as the tour guides were it was frustrating continuously waiting for people that were not able to walk up stairs or traverse simple inclines.
