Review summary

You will feel treated on this cruise. The stateroom is comfortable. The restaurant options are plentiful so you'll never eat the same thing twice (if you so choose). The food quality and presentation is top-notch. The day at sea gave us time to use the free laundry room. The evening entertainment programs are different every night. This cruise was a great value.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Plenty of dining options. All the food was well-prepared. Eat in Umi Uma if you have the chance. The wine-inclusive (all beverages, actually) feature of this cruise is a real value.

Very good guest lecturer who provided information and historical context about the ports of call.

Wonderful caberet shows. Very funny comedian Steve Stevens.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

We embarked from here but did not tour the city.

Sorrento, Italy

We took an excursion to Pompei (don't miss this), followed by lunch and a drive along the Amalfi Coast (breathtakingly beautiful).

Be sure to be up in the morning as the ship sails into the bay. It is beautiful.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Loved the old town. If you want to walk the walls surrounding the town, you'll have to pay. (We didn't.)

Venice, Italy

First time here. Sailing down the canal to the dock is another "don't miss" experience. There is so much to do here. Plan an add-on to your vacation if you are embarking or disembarking from here. We stayed for 3 nights after the cruise and barely scratched the surface.
