Review summary
Wonderful ports, friendly crew, older traditional ship design (like the Grand, Ruby and Emerald) with a real Promenade deck you can walk around the ship on. This was our first time in Sitka. Loved the Russian historical influence and the delightful walk through town to the Totem Pole Park. The view of nearby Edgecomb Volcano was dramatic. Wings Otter seaplane flight from Juneau over 5 glaciers was spectacular. Been wanting to do it for years. Glad we did, finally. So glad to have a full day in Victoria BC as our last port before arriving back in SF. Often the Victoria stop is too late or too short for a proper exploration. Not so this time.Embarkation

Ship tip
If you tried the Crown last year and were disappointed, give it another chance. It’s better now—especially the dining room fare.
