We have decided to probably not do any more Princess Cruises. Carnival has more to do and has a more perky bunch of people, Princess seems to be for the very old, and they seem to, like it that way. We are 56 and 65 and do enjoy a busy life. Princess is just to slow for us.

The food at the buffet was ok, most of the time the hot food was not hot, warm at best. They do not have food for people with diabetes or other issues. You have to be very creative. In the dining room they will work with you a bit more, but at the same time they DO NOT understand keto. Was a bit disappointed by this.
In the buffet we had a few times that we would have to get our own drinks, the waitstaff would just be wandering around and not really doing their job. We were not the only people who made this comment.
The passengers, I noticed, would use the serving spoons drop them on the counter and want to put them back into the dishes...one passenger actually picked the food he dropped with the serving spoon to place it in another location, 2x in less the. 2 min I had to get help for new serving spoons, gross!
The staff in the dining room were very good. We really liked our servers and they were fun.
Onboard Activities

Arts and craft, this was super disappointing. Many people were turned away as they had activities only for 24 people. The ship had 3000 passengers and they only had 24 kits for people?
Egg drop was fun again, we enjoyed that.
Games were sparse, not many things to do. Usually we would have to choose what we wanted to do and race from one end of the ship to another. Not on this cruise!

I felt it was clean. Some of the carpet was coming apart at the seams. One day they shampooed the carpet making that floor hot and steamy, not pleasant.

Carpets showed wear, walls had scrub marks on them. Tv was good, bed was good. Towels and such were fine. Last night, however, our room had a horrible bleach smell, didn’t have this at any other time but the last night, perhaps they were bleaching in prep for disembarkment?
Ship tip
I which there was a way to read about the shore excursions from past people. I have never been able to see how the rating are. We took a harbour cruise and shopping trip in St. Thomas was horrible.
Our age range is now 63 and 64 we started cruising 10 years ago everyone we have have been with princess and cant fault them, yes there are activities that aren't to our liking but they suit others, as they say 'you can please some people some of the time but never everyone all of the time'. Just find what suits you best.
Agree wholeheartedly with Dengage, we’ve never had a bad experience with Princess after 10 cruises. We prefer to not have grumpy and never satisfied cruisers on our Princess Cruises.
Carnival are part of a big consortium including P & O which are also a very good cruise company, hopefully this virus will die soon and we can all get back to living our own lives. 🙏
Not our experience of Princess we've done 8 cruises with Princess and enjoyed all of them some people are very fussy and look for anything to complain about.
