Princess’ service is very good and they do everything they can to give you an enjoyable experience. This itinerary was perfect for us in that we had 2 sea days at the beginning which enabled us to unwind. Then, we had one “at sea” day at the end which enabled us to recover from the activities. Everything went smoothly and my criticisms are all minor.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived to embark approximately 9:30 am. We processed in and had a seat for a short wait of about 20 minutes or so. Smooth experience.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was very good. One minor criticism would be the bread at dinner (hard roll). Both specialty restaurants were excellent and the buffet had a nice selection and kept food fresh.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Our room was at the back of the ship and we had easy access to an adults-only pool, hot tub and the buffet. Movies under the Stars was very enjoyable (except for when it rained). Fitness center was well-equipped with good machines.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Overall, entertainment was very good. We’re not fans of canned or pre-recorded music but the live singers/musicians did a good job. Choreography for stage shows was too busy and distracting. The absolute best show was from Garry Carson, who Princess brought in as a special entertainer (magic, comedy).
Children's Programs
No kids in our party.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Waiters and stewards did a fine job. Always friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Crown Princess is an older ship but you would have a hard time knowing it.
Cabin / Stateroom

We loved our balcony. It’s one of my favorite places. The bed was great- we slept soundly every night. The room isn’t huge but it’s ample for what we needed.
Ship tip
We both had a soda package and a coffee package. Every cruise line (and maybe every ship) but we could get cafe lattes without being dinged as well as tea. The specialty drinks that came under our coffee package were generally too sweet and not our favorite thing.
We did a CruisesOnly excursion (Nature Hike). It was very good. It included the Romney Manor, the hike through the rainforest and some time at the beach. My only minor criticism was that the hike was labeled “easy” and should’ve been “medium” because there were some things to negotiate along the way (roots, rocks and narrow walk space occasionally). Our young guide also didn’t know much about birds on the island which I was hoping for. Overall, a very nice excursion and great value!
No excursion at this location but walked around a bit. There was a fort I would have liked to have walked through but it was closed for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. During a rain shower, we stopped in a nice coffee shop and had coffee & tea.
We took a Princess excursion of snorkeling around shipwrecks which was cool. Saw a Sea Turtle and several Rays. This company was fairly safety conscious but they lacked an easy and safe way to get on and off the ship. If it wasn’t for a big, strong muscular guy, I wouldn’t have been able to get in and out without without injury.
We took a trip from “Tim’s Tours” after walking off the ship. He did s good job for $20 a head. He drove us all around the island. At the top of the hill there is a shop that sells clothing and souvenirs. They have slightly flawed T-shirts for $5. Do your gift shopping here. I also like the old section for shopping. The tram will have to wait until next time.
We did an ATV Adventure (through Princess) and rode around this 7 X 1 1/2 mile island and also had some beach time right near the ship’s dock. The people are very nice. If you do the ATV adventure be sure to bring your driver’s license.
