Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Dining rooms cramped, low ceilings, Sabatines terrible, Crown Grill very good, buffets were fair, very tight seating, food stations were too small....1st night in the Da Vinca, menu stated "Corn Fed Prime Rib" not prime rib, Sirloin Roast that was tough, my wife's Lamb was well done, she ask for Medium, "sorry that's all we have, would you like something else, she ordered the "Southern Fried Chicken" disgusting, The food did not get any better...The Crown Grill was very good, Laura, our server was terrific, deserts were outstanding...Food experience disappointing !

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Dining areas small with low low ceilings very cramped Buffet Stations too small, crowed, one way lines are incoveient Embarkation areas too small..ramps are dangerous, Boston Port, ramp too steep, I have a pride 4 wheel handicap Scooter that stop half way up the ramp, 2 staff member pushed me up, there was 12 inch drop to board the ship ** This should be investigated as a serious accident could occur*** Every ramp I used to board the Ship had issues*** please investigate** Thank you

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
A-301 handicap room was terrific, shower was very safe, I could charge my Scooter easily and could move around easily....very clean room

Ship tip

Cannot recommend the Crown Princess, food was poor, dining rooms small, buffet food stations confined, Embarkation areas too small, ramps are dangerous... realize that this is an old ship that will be dry docked early next year...maybe then it will be something to recommend !

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
New York City is terrific !Perhaps a tour of Ground Zero should be included...we did it on our own....every American should see this !

Newport, Rhode Island

2 out of 5
Newport Rhode Island is an American Historical area, however, not by a Cruise ship that must use its Tenders as trying to get to back to the ship is a painful experience, over 2 hours to wait for the return to the ship. took a trolley tour of Marble House and Scenic Newport.

Boston, Massachusetts

4 out of 5
Historical Boston is a must, ships tours are very expensive... on our own...lunch at the "Barking Crab" walking tour of "Old Boston" Paul Revere house, ect..."Duck boat tour"

Saint John, New Brunswick

2 out of 5
Very old city, some what dirty....took the ships tour "reversing falls and scenic st. john" $99.00 Very Expensive and disappointing ...Handicap tour, bus held 8 passengers, provided a lift for my Scooter, our guide spoke about where he grew up, live and Worked....this tour grossed $800. and the worst tour we had on any cruise , this was our 18 th cruise......should have a refund coming, it was that bad, of course, that is not going to happen !

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Halifax is a clean city, lots of history, however, the tour to Peggy's Cove was difficult as 19 tour buses left the ship at about the same time as over 1000 people were there at the same time, as a handicapped person it was disappointing as I could not climb the rocks to see Peggy's cove, with over 1000 people I was lucky I didn't get hit with bus and car traffic at Peggy's cove.... at the Pier, Farmers Market was interesting, lunch at the "Warehouse Wharf" terrific !!

Sydney, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Sydney is a must, interesting city, beautiful port, very clean, visited an Antique Car Show, had lunch at the "Govenor's House Restaurant".... OUTSTANDING !!

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

4 out of 5
Charlottetown is a small port with several things to do..took a Grayline Tour of the city, saw beautiful well kept homes, the PEI University, had great lunch at" Waters Corner House" Lobster Pound, small but, well worth the visit ! Easy to board the Ship !

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Quebec...Wow...We shall return.....hired a private guide, saw it all !

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was easy until we saw the line for cabs, however, the taxi cabs did a terrific job in moving a boat load of people...it took less than hour to get a cab.
