Review summary

Staff in the buffet restaurant didn't seem interested in clearing tables, we had to ask them so we could sit down. Parents just seem to leave their teenagers to run riot.

I think leaving responsible teens or preteens is fine if you make plans to meet up at certain times

I suspect you ate at the busiest times. On both the Crown and the Ruby saw times when the staff was overwhelmed and you would believe that they were sluffing off, but a polite word got us a quickly cleared and set table with drinks. Poor planning, you would think they would have extra staff on hand (assuming the had the bodies).
