Review summary
If you live in Los Angeles as we do, this is a super-easy trip to take since the ship departs from San Pedro. No flights involved. The Crown Princess, as other Princess ships, and in spite of it's comparatively young age (entered service in 2006), has a dated feeling. Aqua, tan and peach decor are found everywhere. The mini suite was very comfortable and well worth the extra dollars. The dining room service was erratic, the menu was not too exciting, while the ambiance was very pleasant. Service in other areas of the ship was always excellent.
The itinerary includes Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. The departure from Cabo San Lucas at 1PM realistically make this a two port journey. We especially enjoyed the week because of the company of 8 other friends. The whole experience in relation to Princess Cruises and not our friends is "good" at best.

Ship tip
It is a good ship. However, I don't think anything about it sets it apart from its competition.
