Review summary
this was our 2nd try with Princess, our 15th cruise - thank goodness we were traveling with good friends and just enjoyed being with them which salvaged our trip - the crew acted like they could not speak to the passengers, we like to get to know the crew and cut up with them but that was not possible on this ship - the service was below standard here - the food was only good at the grill at the pool but who can eat all their meals there - the daily activities were standard however the night activities were scheduled during the late dining hours which we missed them all (with 3200 passengers alot of people have to eat at 8:30) - the Art Auction was pretty good we went each time - beware of the "free" art they give away, it cost you 20.00 to ship you can't walk it off the ship like other cruise lines - be careful of extra costs throughout the ship most things do cost extra like ice cream, sofa drinks, juice, specialty coffees, some desserts, etc - the only free all the time drinks are water, tea and coffee no lemonade or fruit punch this time - the cabin were almost a dream with the safe, refrig and lots of storage, very well origianized and comfy bed - the ports were OK the problem with them was the fact that the shhip ported away from the city and you had to pay money to taxi to begin sightseeing if you don't take an excurision (least was 4.00 and most was 12.00 per person one way) - the biggest problem with this cruise was the scheduling and crew - the overall cruise was below the standard of NCL and Royal that we are use to and it also cost more - Princess will not be visited by us again - Good Luck if you doPorts of call
