7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: December 23, 2006
Ship: Costa Magica
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 7 years ago
POSITIVE: Ship was cleanest I have ever experienced. Staff was great across the board. Food was hit or miss but the good dishes were really excellent. Nightly shows were a cut above anything I have ever seen on a cruise ship. Very large staterooms with large bathrooms and great storage.

NEGATIVE: Mega-ship is too big and too crowded when sailing at capacity. Odd design makes this worse, because many decks do not allow access from one end to the other.

Actual destination was private beach on Catalina Island.

Pros: Food above average, nightly shows beyond any cruise ship experience. Staff very attentive.

Cons: Ship is simply too big and too crowded when at capacity.

Recommends Costa Magica? No.
