Our overall impression was that it was the best vacation we've ever taken and it was the best value for our money, hands down.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The quality of food was okay but the buffets didn't vary very much. Overall, we had no complaints, there was always food and we never had a "bad" meal.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The entertainment was okay, we heard other passengers mentioned other cruise lines had more activities. Unfortuantely we only have this cruise to judge by, luckily we thought the entertainment was decent.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Top notch service. The only time we had an issue was when we were waiting for one of our island tour in a lounge and we needed beach towels (the steward forgot to replace them), we asked the tour guide if they could call someone to help us since we couldn't go back to our cabin, they said no. Also, the night before we were to leave the ship for the airport we never received any departure documents as everyone else did. No comment card, immigration papers, etc. These were never obtained for us by anyone that was asked.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Beautiful Italian decor, absolutely spotless. Great service, first class. The size of the ship is tremendous, with the cabin almost twice the size of the Norwegian (we took a 1-night, repositioning cruise on the Norwegian)
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
the cabin was very large, no one could believe us when we showed them the pictures back home!
I've been to Jamaica before and since we've already done the Dunns Falls tour there wasn't anything of much interest. Cozumel and the Caymans outshined this port.
Like Jamaica, we found there really wasn't anything special about the tours offered for this port and the appearance of the island was not as nice as Mexico's or the Cayman's.
Too much to list, we did the jeep safari and Passion Island tour, it was fantastic! Also you don't want to miss Senor Frogs, we didn't make it but other passengers raved about it.
