It was a New Year's cruise for us (on Jan 2nd). We were lucky with great temperature which allowed us to enjoy the marvelous itineray proposed - a long loop in the Caribbean with 6 islands and 3 full sea days. The ship is basic but comfortable and clean, service is great, food is the best point of our trip. We do recommend it
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very efficient and flexible embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was phenomenal, the kind of food very authentically Italian that you would find easily. Not pizza or spagetthi but the real tye of gastronomy you would find in the more remote places of Europe. The menu has a lot of stories of the regions covered in the day - Veneto, Tuscany, etc. It's excellent. The wine package is below average, the only reason I keep 5 stars is that the food is spectacular
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Regular Costa activities, probably a little bit less fun than other Costa cruises in Europe
Entertainment
4 out of 5
One South African singer was amazing, just did it twice. Other entertainment shows were already seen in other Costa cruises but equally very good
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was a high point of the ship, staff is well trained and genuinely try to help. They are not sophisticated but with a dedication that is very appreciated.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Cleanliness is very good, the ship design is basic though compared to the new ones in the market
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Bigger than average size, clean, simple for modern patterns but very comfortable. 1 service a day only was a minus point here
Ship tip
It's a basic ship, service quality is very good, food is excellent, itineraries are very well crafted. I do recommend this ship
Thanks for sharing your review. Nice to see that you loved the food. Heard so many bad things about the food and did not understand that. On my 21 night Atlantic crossing the food was just amazing. The only thing I did not like about our cabin was the balcony door. I prefer sliding doors than that noisy slamming doors. But that’s the only negative I remember from our vacation at the deliziosa. I would recommend it too.
