Review summary

We had a really good trip, both on land and sea. Recommend doing land part first and find out if your package pays for meals on land part. The ship is old and we prefer the Freestyle dining on Norwegian to this kind of dining, but we still had a great trip and appreciate all that Princess did for us!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We walked right off of the train from McKinley and right onto the ship, with our room card in hand. Our luggage was already in our room.

Ship experiences

Food was good and we had a variety of choices to eat. I did not like that we had to eat in the same dining room each night. Buffet was pretty good. Food was often cool.

It was clean but a very old ship.

Cabin was a great size and good closet space. Shower was small.

Ship tip

Be sure to bring clothes for 2 formal nights. Our travel agent said we did not have to do this and it caused a problem.

I meant to say on those nights-the formal nights.

I thought formal dinners were not mandatory? Can’t we eat at the buffet on most nights? Thanks

You can do Anytime dining and there's usually a couple of different restaurants you can go to and at anytime you like.
