Review summary

The cruise was wonderful and relaxing. The food on board could've been better, and more variety. All in all, while I wouldn't recommend the Coral because of the food, we enjoyed it.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Princess always makes it easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The bartenders were great, drinks were always consistent and fabulous. The Bayou specialty restaurant was amazing. The MDR and buffets were meh, not good, not bad. I was surprised, Princess has always had great food. Very disappointing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
This cruise skewed older, to a lot of the activities were geared toward the senior age group. No matter, we enjoyed our time.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We didn't attend many shows, but the ones we did attend were great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As always, the staff and service on Princess were great. Our room steward was always attentive, the waiters were very slow in the MDR, but otherwise, the staff was fine.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean, but well worn.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was as expected, the cabin was clean. There were spider cracks in the shower stall, the carpet was worn. The ship, in my opinion, needs an update.

Ship tip

It's a good ship, but small. If you're expecting a lot of room and things to do, this may not be your ship.

Ports of call

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska

5 out of 5
We arrived by train from a land portion of our trip, and boarded the ship. We didn't get a chance to visit Whittier.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
It was amazing!

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
It was amazing! Saw whales, otters, seals, etc. We enjoyed it.

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Skagway has turned into the Cherokee of Alaska. It's too touristy. Shop after shop selling jewelry and t-shirts. Disappointing. Expensive food, too.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
It's a nice port to visit. Not as touristy as Skagway. You have to visit Tracy's King Crab Shack for King Crab. It's amazing!

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Beautiful town.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Beautiful city, we enjoyed our day there before our flight back home.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fine, always the same with Princess
