There is a thread on cruise critic about it. Does not specify size...but implies that the big bags you check on the plane meet you at ship then you are allowed to bring 1 bag like a 20 inch rollerboard bag anfd a small carry on. They carry-ons must fit under the sit or on lap during travel between lodges as that is the only bag you have access to during that time. .the 20 inch one will be sent separate to the next lodge. .many people have reported doing 1 or 2 jeans and multiple tops for that time as what you wear during the day is what you wear to dinner no special attire for dinner in the lodges. The thread is called details of the tour part of a princess alaska cruisetour by carbill...very informative. It will require different packing he says

Are you saying that the big bags won't meet up with us on land i cant fit 5 days of clothes in a back pack or small duffle

Layers. ..when we went in September it was low 40s in the am and then in the afternoon it was mid 70s. Land portion i read is all resort casual. ..no dresses or suits for dinner. When you arrive you get 2 sets if luggage tags. .. 1 to tag the big bags that will meet you on the ship then another for take with you and this bag should have what you need while on the land portion and will follow you on the land portion.
