Review summary

The cruise was not a bad experience. I just did not care for Bimini port. Would a cruise Celebrity again, yes but but not the Summit.

I think they should have more activities during the day. Most of the activities were over in about 30 minutes.

The waiters and room stewards were excellent. The only issue I had was I reached out to guest services and never received a call back regarding the issue. This to me is not satisfactory customer service.

The ship's layout and design was okay. I feel that the room could have been much cleaner and there were cleaning issues that should have been cleaned before passengers are allowed in to cabins.

Cabin / Stateroom

Balcony. It could have been much cleaner. I had a issue with the shower drainage. I spoke to the room steward and guest services the next morning after I boarded. I called back to guest service and the steward stated someone had checked. The issue is unsanitary water backing up in the shower not going down properly. Everytime you take a shower, you have to stand in someone else's dirty water. My particular balcony was completely rusted. They stated that the ship was recently refurbished but from looks it needs alot more work. Would I go again on the Summit no, but I would consider a more up to date ship with Celebrity.

This is the worst port I have ever visit. I don't see why the cruise lines are even stopping at this port. I get it is a new port that they're trying to push people to visit. The only thing they have is a new resort, Resort World with a casino. If you are not staying at the resort you have to pay for the beach. There s is no souvenir shops and to go off the resort is a cab fare. You are told to be careful which is with any place. Would I visit again no absolutely.

great relaxing cruise

Nice deal on a balcony room, friendly crew, but Bimini is a waste of a port day.
