Cabin number: 8041

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The only disappointing item about the cruise was a lack of recognition of our 50th Wedding Anniversary. This milestone was noted on our reservation. It is not that we needed this recognition in any way, but was surprised that Celebrity didn't note this in some way.

Embarkation

The check-in process was the smoothest we have experienced

Ship experiences

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

We enjoyed the shows in the theater, but found most shows & performers were duplicates of a March, 2023 Eastern Caribbean cruise.

Children's Programs

No children were with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
HIGH MARKS to Arfa our Stateroom Attendant, Ronald our Dining Room Service Manager, Kenneth our Waiter, Jeany our Assistant Waiter and Ida our Sommelier. All were consistently welcoming and helpful. Consistently throughout our cruise, the entire staff had a smile on their face and made positive eye contact and greetings with us.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size of our cabin was smaller than any of our past Veranda cabins, but we were able to store everything we brought.

Ship tip

Be prepared to be pampered!

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

We spent an extra cay before and after our cruise in Boston. We didn't have a lot of time, nor wanted to walk long distances, so we bought a ticket for the Hop On- Hop Off bus/tour service. It was excellent!!! We only got off once, but easily found the Hop On site. The driver as super smart about Boston, including short sound tracks to emphasize a point. We heard more than we can ever remember.

Rockland, Maine

No excursion...just walked around, mainly on the main street and the Bixby Bean to Bar Chocolate store.

Saint John, New Brunswick

Excursion: St. Martins Bay & Fundy Express. The tour guide on board was excellent. Great sights!

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Excursion: Peggy's Cove & Double Decker City Tour. We had a normal large bus. Again, the tour guide was excellent. Peggy's Cove was amazing!

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
No excursion, but spent some great time walking around and enjoying the sights. The steep climb up to Old Quebec City was handled through a series of steps and a $5/person lift.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

5 out of 5
Excursion: City to Sea Panoramic View. Again, a great tour guide who kept us on schedule through several wonderful stops...the Confederation Bridge, Anne of Green Gables National Historic Site, excellent lobster role lunch at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company and general overview of the lobster industry.

Portland, Maine

No excursion. We thought we would see and experience a more quaint setting. We walked around, but found the cathedral was locked. The main street was interesting.

Disembarkation

Aside from everyone finding rides, the process went very smooth. We found an Uber in less than 15 minutes.
