Review summary

This was my first cruise and I'm hooked. Already booked a 2nd and looking to book for next year as well. The overall experience was top notch. The staff were truly wonderful.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Everything went well except there was no signal to pull up the boarding pass in the terminal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was delicious, we did not use any specialty restaurants. The main dining rooms were very good once we ironed out the dinner reservation issue after day 2. Beverages were fantastic, however, needing to continuously check the pricing to make sure the mixed drinks and wines were included in the classic package was frustrating. The San Pellegrino sparkling water was not included in the classic package as it is on other cruise lines. The server did not mention it and we were charged over $5 for the small bottle. It was just another thing to watch to be in budget.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did the virtual scavenger hunt twice and really enjoyed it. Played corn hole and ping-pong. The fitness center "seminars" were very disappointing. They were more of a sales pitch than an actual seminar. Also some of the activities listed were not available. The pool area was fun, however, the pool was on the small side. We did enjoy the pop up performances on the pool deck.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We went to shows 5 out of 7 evenings. The one performer was scheduled twice and we were not thrilled with the first performance, we skipped the second show. The Broadway themed show, Diva night with Gen Maldonado, the Electric Soul, and the Life shows were all phenomenal.

Children's Programs

The children in our party did not participate in these programs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our dinner servers, Jermaine, Krisna, and sommelier JV were all outstanding. They made our dinner experience at our reserved table fabulous from day 3-7, once we straightened out our dinner issues from days 1 and 2. The café al bacio was our go to for our coffees. Ricardo was superb and was always there for us. My room attendant Chevany was amazing. The room was perfect everyday and night. She also took the time to write me a note back to the one I left for her.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean. Once I learned where everything was, the ship was easy to navigate. Again the pool was on the small side. Also, there were several days all the lounge chairs were taken, but they still had many stacks of chairs not put out.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was very clean and I liked the layout. The shower had some issues. While the tile was nice and the handheld shower head, the grab bar was positioned in a place that I kept banging my arm on it. The bottom of the shower filled with water and I found myself using the handheld shower head to direct the suds to the drain. Also, there were not very many perks to being concierge class.

Ship tip

Pack less, the dinners in the main dining room are not all fancy.

Ports of call

Cruise Statue Of Liberty

5 out of 5
We didn't visit the port, however, cruising right past the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island was very cool. Being that close made for some great pictures.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
The Royal Naval Dockyard was nice, but limited. There are not as many shops as I thought there would be.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was very smooth and well organized getting off the ship in port.
