Unfortunately, I found that the clientele on this ship/itinerary was MUCH LOWER class than the clientele I've experienced before on Celebrity and even on Carnival or Costa. Ha!! VERY poorly dressed, low class and rowdy. 5 people were literally arrested on our 7 day cruise! FIVE! For assault/battery, purposefully contaminating the casino and underage drinking. I've literally been on hundreds of cruises (I used to be onboard crew for NCL in the 1990s), and I've never seen anything like it. I am not blaming Celebrity for this though. I don't know how to control it. But it did put a damper on our time.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Relatively easy to get a drink. Pina coladas were outstanding. The main dining room is one of the best things about cruising. Overall, the food was great. But we found it to be overcooked at times. Not as good as in the past on Celebrity. The breakfast and lunch buffets were outstanding.
Onboard Activities

I would say there is something for everyone. BUT, the live music was just so-so. They were either late to start performing or didn't show up at all. It surprised me. The acts were OK, but nothing to look forward to. They only played 45 min sets and then there was a big lull in between acts. The itinerary advertised ballroom dancing, but there was none. The best performer was Jay the guitar/sing along guy from the Philippines. Really great!

Service and Staff

Overall it was good. But one of the things to look forward to while cruising is the entertainment from the room steward. There were zero towel animals or anything like that. We tipped him extra on the first day but felt that there was nothing special about it.
Ship Quality

Yes and no. As mentioned, I was on the Celebrity Summit 11 years ago and it was pristine. Now it's definitely showing its age, even though it was refurbished 4 years ago. The pools and hot tubs had maintenance issues. Trash cans are now gone, so people can't throw away trash. And it littered everywhere. Same with cups, etc... They were not cleaned up overnight and were everywhere about the outside decks. additionally, usually cruise ships are cold, but this one was not. We were hot everywhere we went in the indoor areas including the dining room. Literally sweating on some nights. Our cabin had several issues, but I'll discuss those below.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was incredibly well laid out. Lots of storage and everything you might need. Lots of space under the bed to put away your suitcase. However, it wasn't well maintained. Someone had burned a hole in the chair, probably with a curling iron. Someone had pulled some type of control knob out of the wall and it was just hanging there and our sink did not drain. The AC didn't work well either. This was disappointing.
Ship tip
Make sure to get a cabin on a deck like 7 or 8 where there isn't a venue below or above you. If you have mobility issues, get mid ship. If not, get forward.
Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry you had so many unusual “criminal” activities. I can see how that would put a damper on your experience. Glad you found some enjoyment on your cruise.
