Review summary

I thought taking my elderly Mom with Dementia on a cruise would be good since she likes to keep busy. There wasn't enough to keep her busy. Although the staff was very nice, my Mom was not happy and said she wanted to walk home (dementia) I guess she said to them that she would jump over and walk home. Well, it went down hill from there! Security got involved, the onboard doctor got involved. They scheduled a telemed appointment with some doctor on land to "assess" my Mom. They took us out of the balcony room we paid for and stuck us in a room with a porthole behind the office. I spent the day at sea, looking for a flight home from the next port. We had to have our bags ready for immigration to go through at 6am. We had to meet them at 6:30am to sign papers. They had a driver take us to the airport at 1pm for our 3:18 pm flight....

The main dining room was good. Although they do not encourage you to sit with other passengers as they do on Princess. I like meeting new people and hearing about their past cruising experiences. One night I asked if we could share a table and they sat us at a table for 8 or 10, but we were the only 2 people there. The food however, was very good and the wait staff was excellent. The Buffet did not have a good choice of food and it was so spread out.

I was hoping there would be more activities such as bingo or pool games. My Mother has dementia and she is fine if she is busy, but there wasn't much for her to do.

We went to see a saxophone player one night but the were only 15-20 people watching/listening to him.

The cabin was nice and clean, but they made us leave the balcony room we paid for and stuck us in a room with a port hole because of my Mother's illness.

Didn't get to see Miami other than the scummy hotel we stayed in the night before. I won't be using Booking.com again.

Key West was very nice. We didn't get to see anything in Cozumel as we had to fly home early due to my Mother's illness. My Mother has Dementia and she was sun downing. It was not pleasant and I felt that the cruise line wanted us off the ship.
