Review summary

This was our second cruise on the Summit since it has been refurbished. We will be on it again in two weeks when we will be in a suite for the first time. Both of our previous cruises were on Aqua Class and I can’t say enough good things about the service and quality of the food in Blu. The Spa has been updated, but I would not recommend buying a day pass to use it, as it is limited in size as compared to Solstice class ships. It is a nice perk as part of the Aqua class stateroom, bit we only visited it once on each of our stays.

Embarkation

Quick and smooth; get expedited checkin by using the Celebrity app.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Veuve Clicquot champagne dinner was worth every penny of the $150 per person surcharge! Amazing food, drink and service.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center had a variety of free and paid classes.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Comedians were very good; stage shows high quality and the lounge entertainment/DJs were exceptional. Don’t miss the Silent Disco; get there early for headphones.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff were attentive and accomodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Celebrity did a great job with the refurbishing.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Aqua class cabin now comes with yoga mats, which can be used in the fitness center. The loveseat has been replaced with a smaller version which only seats one person comfortably. No coffee table or footstools on balcony.

Ship tip

Pastries at Cafe Bacio are free (and delicious)

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
Did a beach excursion; not fond of the shops available on shore.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Did the Kukoo Kunooku tour. We had already done this in March and had a much more entertaining driver. Beach was great, but had to pay extra $20 for an umbrella.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Went to the caves last time we visited. About 45 minutes from the port, but worthwhile. Took a local tour, rather than ship excursion.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
Beautiful island and beaches.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Fairly long lines, but moved quickly. I’d estimate 15-20 minutes.
