Review summary

Overall, not the most interesting itinerary we've taked but still had fun and hugely enjoyed the ship and crew. If you are going for fall foliage, waiting to early October would have been best.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
From curb to onboard happened in 12 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Eat everywhere except the main dining room. Nice choices, awesome presentation, and quality throughout.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The lectures on board were okay but not the best. I liked the astronomy lectures yet they did not seem to fit the cruise. More on the historical and economic significance of the Saint Lawrence Seaway would have been a plus.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As a frequent Celebrity cruiser, this cruise was best yet!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Could not have been better. Appropriately attentive and professional

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Having been on Celebrity Millennium Class Ships many times before, the Summit seemed like a new ship after a fantastic refurbishment. Great design and perfect care.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved this cabin. Only improvement would the thermostat. There was little relationship between between a setting and the result. But this was a trivial matter.

Ship tip

Have no hesitation on sailing the older Celebrity Millennium Class Ships.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey Did not visit port

Arrived at Newark and embarked . . . did not allow time for more.

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
Many options here but we went out on our own and visited the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. This should be offered as part of a Celebrity excursion.

Portland, Maine

4 out of 5
Many options here but we went out on our own with a private guide.

Bar Harbor, Maine

4 out of 5
Quaint village, enjoyed the ambiance.

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Most interesting port . . . had a great private tour.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

4 out of 5
Second best port but no excursion. Great history and gorgeous "eye candy."

Sydney, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Many of these ports start to look a like . . . We arranged a private tour that was disappointing.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
A center of commerce and history. Our excursion took us to Peggy’s Cove. This was over run with visitors and the whole scene was more focused on selling stuff. However, went elsewhere and found great lobster roll!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Happened in minuties . . . no hassle. Found luggage in terminal as planned and Uber to airport was seamless.
