We love Bermuda, this was our fourth time. Loved having 4 sea days on this cruise. Bermuda is beautiful and we were blessed with wonderful weather. We did not realize New England was going to still be cool so we missed the warmth and sunshine in Bermuda.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Smooth and fast. Only thing is they didn't ask regarding our credit care (you usually have to hand in a signed page re your credit card)and were later called to customer service to register it.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We felt the meals in the Main Dining Room were much better than our last cruise in 2017. We ate there every night. Oceanview Buffet was just okay, nothing special, and stations were repetitive. Best food could be found at the grill at the rear of Oceanview. A nice surprise was to have stuffed potatoes made to order one day - very popular. We don't eat in the specialty restaurants anymore because they are too overpriced for the quality of food that you get.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Lots of interesting activities on the roster but we just like to sit in the sun and relax so we did not participate much during the day. The new gym is nice but the recumbent bikes don't face out to the ocean now.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
This cruise consistently had the best entertainers that we've ever seen. Celebrity offers more singers, comedians, etc. than before. Less of the Celebrity singers and dancers than before. The current group were okay but we enjoyed the entertainers more
Children's Programs
We're older with no kids on board.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had an very good room steward, but our waiters in the MDR were fantastic. The only place that Celebrity continues to lack is at the Customer Service desk. These individuals are always "fake" pleasant and if you question them, get a bit surly and unhelpful. Supervisors are never around in the evening when you need them the most. We usually don't have a problem with room service but this time they frequently messed up our orders.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We love this ship, this was our 5th cruise on her. We like that it's smaller and easy to get around it. With the new upgrade everything appears to be clean and well-maintained. However, the same rust spots are over the Deck 6 aft balconies.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
New beds great, colors okay (I'm not partial to greys and beiges - find them bland on a ship), love the new shower door, toiletries are CO Bigelow and we liked them. New closets and desks look cheap (think dorm room) but they're sturdy and sufficient for clothes, etc. Really missed the in-cabin table. We had to drag the balcony table (which is smaller now) in and out of our room depending on where we were eating. Our room 8148 was next to a crew door. No problem last year but this time from 6:45 am and each 1/2 hour thereafter, we heard a loud crash as they ran the food carts over the metal door frame. Woke us up each time until we gave up sleeping and just got up.
Ship tip
Be careful not to bang your elbow in the shower on the grab bar.
Beautiful. Lots to do, we did not do excursions this time but it's fun just to ferry to St. George and Hamilton and walk around. Don't miss the fort and Commander's House at end of King's Wharf. Helpful to use the trolleys to get around King's Wharf . In May/June they have been building a new vistor's center right where Summit docks. Until it's finished, you have to walk to the end of the pier to catch the trolley and taxis. The sightseeing vans still are at the end of the pier.
Cute town, some hills to walk up and down the blocks where the stores are. Our lunch was so delicious at West Street Cafe. Best blueberry pie we've ever had.
