Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Ate dinner mostly in Main Dining room. Service personnel were outstanding - kudos to Okayasa, Silas, Raul and Vincent. Nightly they went above and beyond to make the meal wonderful. Hostesses need to be more adept at seating guests in their servers places rather than helter skelter around room. Both girls were new to the ship. Probably there for the upcoming charter cruises. Buffet offered above average food although guests had filthy habits - using there hands to grab food; using dirty plates over and over at the buffet line. Not once was a guest chastised for these habits. I DID SAY THINGS THOUGH!! Most offenders were from Europe and India. Sommeliers we’re knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. EVERYONE was interested in talking about their native cultures when they had time. This is the part we enjoyed the most.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Thalassotherapy pool 🏊 nice when not many folks on board. NIGHTMARE ON DAYS AT SEA! Therapy bubble couches have NO time limit so many guests lounge there for hours. Would be nicer to operate that area as in Europe - 15 minute duration rotations. Didn’t participate in much else. Walked a lot

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Karaoke was fun. Stage shows average. Guest show (Tenors of Rock) were phenomenal. Missed the rest

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As in dining - Okayasa, Silas, Vincent and Raul. Stateroom - Eliseo was like a ghost. We NEVER saw him when he serviced the room. Always spotless but was there when we needed something.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Showing age. There was a sewage issue on deck 7 that became apparent when showers were taken. There was a fecal smell. We didn’t complain. Worst was 10 rooms down. Mirrors worn. Mattresses were uneven. Dining room floor had a springy depression that they finally cordoned off after 3 nights

Showing age. There was a sewage issue on deck 7 that became apparent when showers were taken. There was a fecal smell. We didn’t complain. Worst was 10 rooms down. Mirrors worn. Mattresses were uneven. More room on Solstice class. Steward 👨‍✈️ made up for small problems

Ship tip

Nice size as far as numbers of guests. DONT DO REPOSITIONING! NO PERKS OFFERED!! We missed one port due to weather - no biggy because we like sea days. Prepare for older ship with potential for problems. REPORT FILTHY GUEST HABITS! That’s what spreads disease.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten Did not visit port

Typical tourist trap

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Did not visit port
