Review summary
Hurricane Cristobal prevented us from going to Bermuda. We went to Cape Canaveral and Nassau instead. Very disappointed but understandable. The ship itself was OK. No where near a 5 star. This was our 8th cruise, first time on Celebrity. Older, smaller ship which shows wear. Dinners were excellent, service not so much. Breakfasts and lunch were ok. Entertainment was not consistently good. The ship was full and the pool way overcrowded with kids. Lounges could not be found. No one enforced any rules concerning saving lounges. Celebrity gave us $100. per cabin because we didn't go to Bermuda as well as some port charges ($82. and change per person). It would have been nice to get 1/2 credit for another trip to Bermuda. We'll go back next June on the Norwegian Breakaway out of NY. A friend of mine went on it and liked it. Best part of the trip was we met some great people.
Would recommend going in June because the heat was unbearable when we got off in Nassau. Still love cruising no matter where we go. Celebrity, not so much.
