Review summary

This cruise was a disappointment.  We took this cruise with Celebrity to Bermuda in 2002 when cruising was an experience.  It no longer has things like a midnight buffet, pool bands, or chocolate night to name just a few.  But that is only the half of it.  I had to bus my own tables in the cafe almost every time I sat down.  Food was near impossible to reach in the cafe.  You would struggle with a spoon to reach foods towards the back and staff would just watch you struggle, never help.  They also have this new procedure where they put food in little metal or glass bowls in advance and line them up for you to take.  Scrambled eggs in these metal bowls are cold and seem to have been made yesterday, and again, when the bowls in the front are gone, no one will push the rest forward and there you are again - struggling. Ice cream was always melted.  They now close off the various sections in the cafe at different times by pulling down big shades, so foods were unavailable quite often.  Again, something i had never experienced on Celebrity and other cruises.  You show up at the cafe at odd times and there is relatively nothing to eat.  At night (and not even late) you have 3 skimpy options and finding an open station for a cup of tea or coffee was a challenge.  The main dining hall was great and was where we went for all meals after experiencing the cafe.  Staff was courteous.  The boat rocked slightly the whole cruise, even in very calm water.  Also, we did not get to go to Bermuda.  We were re-routed to Florida and Nassau.  That, of course, was hurricane related.  All in all, I may not take a cruise again if this is the standard.  It was my 7th cruise to Bermuda and possibly my last.  Truly a disappointment.
