Review summary

Though overall the cruise was pleasant, it did not meet my expectations of quality usually associated with Celebrity.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food quality and choice were both excellent.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was very good. Room accoustic was very good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendliness of the staff was excellent.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
With the exception of food quality and entertainment, the rest of the ship was average.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
I had selected a concierge stateroom at extra cost to get better service and amenities. That did not happen. The advertised 32-in flat screen TV was nowhere to be found. Plumbing did not always work reliably.

Ports of call

Castries, St. Lucia

3 out of 5

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
The harbor is very striking with all the sailboats and yatchs. The town was friendly and clean.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
St. Maarten was my preferred port of call. This is a very nice town with friendly people and lots to do and see.

Bridgetown, Barbados

3 out of 5
Unfortunately, it was a holiday when I got there and the town was practically closed.

Pros: Food quality

Cons: The overall cruise experience

Recommends Celebrity Summit? No.
