Review summary

Ship was very nice, conservative decor, clean, a few rough spots where it needed paint, for example. The passengers were for the most part on the older side - 50 to 80's. Overall not as lively as a Carnival ship, for example. I would not recommend this for 20-somethings looking for late nite parties.

Select dinning was a great feature as we could eat at any time we wanted and met different people. Food was very good with good selections yet small portions. Changes were made willingly. Food at breakfast and lunch was always the same - little variety overall.

Entertainment

Shows were very good. Music at pool was fair - and loud. Few other activities other than a little bingo. Seemed to be more "on your own".

Took the trolley. Went up Cadillac Mtn. Great experience. Even more shopping. Good food.

Trolley again. We found this to be the best way of seeing an area for the lowest cost. Still more shopping.

Took the trolley. Good overview of city. Plenty of shopping. Good food. We did not book any shore excursions on the ship. Saved 50% by finding the same tour on land.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Took the horse drawn trolley rather than the bus tours. Let us off at far end of boardwalk and we walked back to ship after getting "Cows" ice cream.

Pros: Very nice and clean ship with good food and generally good service and friendly staff.

Cons: Some of the staff - guest relations and main dinning room management - seemed to have an "attitude" and were not helpful.

Recommends Celebrity Summit? Yes!
