Review summary

Shows age here and there, but very clean and well-maintained. Super friendly service.

Ports of call

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Been to Barbados many times so took another beach day here. Included was a tour through the Malibu Rum distillery (which is practically right on the beach!). Thought it would be a yawn, but actually turned out to be very interesting. Beach itself was fantastic.....there are the usual vendors but they set up little stands and wait for you to come to them instead of prowling up and down the beach. And some of the products are quite nice...and much less expensive than in the tourist shops.
Don't Miss: If you haven't done it before, Harrison's Cave is really neat.

St. George's, Grenada

3 out of 5
We took a day off here and stayed around town. The handicrafts and spices on Grenada are worth exploring.

Scarborough, Tobago

3 out of 5
We enjoyed a visit to a cocoa plantation, but still found Tobago to be a little less-friendly than many of the other islands. Scarborough is one giant traffic jam crammed into a very small town. As with much of the Caribbean, get into the interior to really appreciate the island itself.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
Went to the beach here, supposedly a good place for shopping as well. Beach was lovely.

Roseau, Dominica

5 out of 5
Several people who stayed in town or around the ship dismissed this port as "not worth the stop". Those who went into the interior loved it. This is a mountainous, rain-forested island, with a very interesting past and culture. Look beyond the port!
Don't Miss: River-tubing! A little thrilling, a lot beautiful, and a whole bunch of fun. (Not for the sedentary)

Pros: Hard to pick, but the food was to die for!

Cons: Stale smoke smell in cabins (no longer allowed, but smell remains). Fixed by steward with some Oust
