Happy for the price, but can tell all lines doing some cutbacks.

Review summary

Good points and bad points, overall people good, food average for a cruise, activities on board needed help.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and quick

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Great service, quality of ingredients seemed good. However beef in buffet overcooked. Too much Indian food. A Mexican themed buffet would help. Also a better idea of size of portions for steak, etc. on menu.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Shows decent. Thought crusie drioector Kelly) a bit6 light. Went to a golf activity with 8 others and host was a no show. Also had a Thursday night NFL game in newsletter that didn't happen.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Usual variety, but thought strong.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
First class across the board with the exception of some activities and as noted above, and in general Gust Services was not very helpful. Casino cashier area was about the only inconsistent group I saw.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Yes. Very standard layout. As usual can get lost at times, especially front v. back, but that's life.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Larger than though, seemed nice for price.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

Not convienient to leave from or easy to get to from LAX

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Ensenada, Mexico

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Very smooth, except all turned upside down by this 2 or 3 minute "interpier" (Pier 50 to 46) shuttle that was a mess. Took up most of half an hour from getting on the bus to when allowed to get off the bus, could have walked it in 3 minutes. Cost us a lot as due to the bulk demand, Uber/Lyft prices were 3 time higher than they normally would have been. Don't do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were on that same cruise and actually stayed close to you apparently (room 7164). This was our 14th cruise but 1st with Celebrity and we LOVED it. Food was great.. actually enjoyed the Indian food, staff was top notch, and the ship was beautiful. Only gripe was the atrocious "Rock" show. My God that was bad. But everything wise was wonderful. BTW, when you take multiple Carnival cruises out of New Orleans, you quickly lean to appreciate Celebrity/Los Angeles.

My cruise is in Dec and we will be boarding the ship in SaN PedroI. I live in LA and mostly will take Uber iso drive and park there. I also wonder super shuttle still in business ?

Doesn't Celebrity have an LAX shuttle?

Sadly, Mexican is one thing that Celebrity does not do well, so wishing for that may be disappointing. This is fleet wide: The Mexican food has always been pathetic. To get your spice fix, the Indian offerings are much, much better.

Yeah, I saw a Mexican themed buffet more than once. And, it didn't really help. The Indian was much better

Wonder how they missed the Mexican themed buffet sections at lunch? Port aft section was usually Mexican and the forward port section did a Mexican theme one day.
