Review summary

Loved this ship although l can see why it's getting refurbished a little the worse for wear in some parts but still beautiful. I dont think there is as much to do on this ship but l was looking for a relaxing break anyway. My only complaint would be anything you had to pay for was expensive, bingo, glass blowing etc. Other than that a wonderful cruise

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our embarkation was quick and very easy. Lots of people telling you where to go and very helpful

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in main restaurant, buffet and speciaty restaurants and found them all very good. The staff were incredibly accommodating

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I felt l have been on other ships that had a lot more activities, and the ones on the solstice such as bingo are very expensive compared to other ships. I was looking for a rest so this didn't bother me to much but my daughter l travelled with was a bit board

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Some singers were horrible. The stage shows were either amazing or just bad. The show on the last night was incredibly good a must see. The acrobats were mind blowing and a couple of singers bought on were also very good

Children's Programs

Didn't travel with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can't fault, very friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I thought this was a lovely ship. Loved the glass lifts. The indoor pool area is amazing. It's a long way from the front to the back but easy to find your way around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I thought our cabin was of a reasonable size. I liked the layout with the couch near the window. Loved the glass shower screen. It was very clean and our cabin person was very good.

Ship tip

Upgrade your drink package when you get on board, much cheaper and well worth it. Drinks are expensive

Ports of call

Sydney, Australia

I like Sydney. There is a lot to do there. It is very hilly and can be difficult to find places

Noumea, New Caledonia Did not visit port

Had a day on the ship this day

Mystery Island, Vanuatu

5 out of 5
We did a glass bottom boat tour here it was ok. It's mainly a market and swiming activities. We tried fresh coconut and pineapple both beautiful. People were very friendly

Port Vila, Efate, Vanuatu

5 out of 5
Hot humid but fun. We had a local take us around, went to his village, hidden island, a lovely beach bar, icecream shop, did duty free shopping and last went to a kava bar. It was great having a local show us around

Lifou Isle, New Caledonia Did not visit port
