Review summary

Overall we had a wonderful time on the Solstice and I will certainly sail with Celebrity again. In fact I am thinking about a Panama Canal trip.

The entertainment on this trip seemed lackluster. After two other cruises with Celebrity and 4 with Carnival I was disappointed in the quality of talent.

The ship was always clean but was beginning to show it's age, with rust and certain problems in our cabin.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was always clean but we had trouble with operation of our safe....twice! The lights in our bathroom kept going off and the first day we had to shower in the dark. This was taken care of quickly but could have caused a slip and fall in the dark. Our towels in the bathroom were shabby and torn.

I was ill this day but my friend who shared the stateroom went to the Mendenhall Glacier/Salmon Bake and enjoyed it except the foggy weather. I was extremely disappointed in the Tracey Fjord and viewing of Dawes glacier. There was not nearly enough time for viewing the glacier nor were we close enough to get a good look. Disappointing!
