Review summary

Seeing Alaska was awesome. The Celebrity Solstice was a quite boring of a ship. The activities were boring, the food was good but did not do the sit down dinners. The bars were just bars with no theme to them. I would have liked each one have their own specialty drink. I was really disappointed in the Captain and the entertainment director for neither one spoke English very well. I could only understand about every 5th word and when they made announcements you had to go into the hallway to hear them. You could not hear them from your room.

Announcements are on channel 5. The bridge view channel.

No themes in the bars? Wow...somehow you missed the martini bar with iced bar tops...bartenders do tricks and there are themed parties like the headphone nites where you dial in the music you wish to hear and when you remove the headphones its hilarious to hear the other passengers singing and carrying on. If you think solstice is boring then don't board a princess ship

Is there not a volume knob you can turn up in the room? LOS was that way. Initial review shows person with “0” cruises so not sure this would be valid.

Every bar has a theme, food is great, captain is the BEST and his seminar on building the ship informative and clear as a bell. If you were bored with all that Solstice has to offer, including the glass blowing, I don’t know what to say.

Another WOW here! Really???Done fair few cruises now, and Celebrity Solstice is a 5+star cruise, the bars are boring?? Did you find the Martini Bar boring too? It was awesome, and one of the best, the staff couldn't do enoug for us, they were all amazing! The food was divine at the "sit down dinners" shame you didn't try as it is included, and with so many choices. Hope your enjoy your next one.

On some lines you can put your tv on a set channel and hear the announcements in your cabin. Is it not that way on Solstice?

Only emergency announcements are heard in your cabin. Boring really? I had a great time on my two cruises on the Solstice. They had plenty activities for you to engage in. You just sound like you are a boring person.

Wow, it's not often that Celebrity gets s bad review. Especially the Solstice. You're probably one in a million! Sorry you didn't enjoy. I disagree with all you said so I have nothing to say except for the announcements...we've been on 8 cruises and the only announcements you hear back on the room are emergencies. Any others, you do have to open your door.
