Review summary

Solstice -5-30 thru 6-6-10; This was our 7th cruise-and 1st on Celebrity-we are trying to find a line to be loyal to--we upgraded to Concierge level; the only thing this level is worth the extra charge, was the ease in embarkment but not disembankment-the female staff member there was RUDE and not in control of the passengers-we had the Valvet service( another extra charge and we were just ushered off with the rest of the people; not impressed with much; ship colors very calming, adult pool great and the covered lounge areas were great;buffet had a good layout but the food was just average-nothing out standing-won;t use Celebrity again!

Had a 13 old with our party and he really enjoyed the Teen Club. they seemed to have plenty to keep them interested in attending!

Service and Staff

only one staff member was great and she(Treasa-9 th level) was not even our room steward always a smile and a Hello

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Over all the ship was pleasent, calming colors and spaces for sitting were all over the ship which made it comfortable to relax -sometimes away from the crow

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
paid extra for the upgrade to Conciege level-really not worth it; only true advantage was to boarding early and the easy of it.-

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Beach Break was good

Pros: The ship is beautiful, well laid out, rooms are decorated with calming colors, sitting areas all over the ship are great.

Cons: Dinning room service and food was terrible; senior staff was rude to both passengers and the lower rank staff!
