Room Type: Balcony

Solstice -5-30 thru 6-6-10; This was our 7th cruise-and 1st on Celebrity-we are trying to find a line to be loyal to--we upgraded to Concierge level; the only thing this level is worth the extra charge, was the ease in embarkment but not disembankment-the female staff member there was RUDE and not in control of the passengers-we had the Valvet service( another extra charge and we were just ushered off with the rest of the people; not impressed with much; ship colors very calming, adult pool great and the covered lounge areas were great;buffet had a good layout but the food was just average-nothing out standing-won;t use Celebrity again!

Pros: The ship is beautiful, well laid out, rooms are decorated with calming colors, sitting areas all over the ship are great.

Cons: Dinning room service and food was terrible; senior staff was rude to both passengers and the lower rank staff!

Recommends Celebrity Solstice? No.

Food and Dining
staff was very poor could not keep pace with the job.waited for drinks, plates to be removed(most nights 15-20 minutes) between courses-sometimes never getting what we ordered-head Matre'd very condesending
Service and Staff
only one staff member was great and she(Treasa-9 th level) was not even our room steward always a smile and a Hello
Ship Quality
Over all the ship was pleasent, calming colors and spaces for sitting were all over the ship which made it comfortable to relax -sometimes away from the crow
Cabin / Stateroom
paid extra for the upgrade to Conciege level-really not worth it; only true advantage was to boarding early and the easy of it.-
Entertainment
the Friday night show was different but other than that not much to say
Children's Programs
Had a 13 old with our party and he really enjoyed the Teen Club. they seemed to have plenty to keep them interested in attending!
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Waste of time is the Rum Factory-
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Beach Break was OK but didn't expect to be taken to a topless beach with childred in our party
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Beach Break was good
