Review summary

Celebrity has maintained their high standards post pandemic, and a lot of the other lines (NCL especially) have not. Would recommend and sail again on a Celebrity Cruise.

Embarkation

Amsterdam was very efficient

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was superb. Exceeded our expectations - particularly in the main dining room.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Particularly enjoyed the enrichment talks - about the ports, wine and most especially by the captain on the navigation of the ship.

Entertainment

We prefer to not attend large gatherings. Additionally, as one traveller is a professional musician and we live in a major, high calibre city, we are always disappointed with the entertainment quality. Briefly stood in the back of one of the shows and decided to not stay.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were very attentive to the passengers. Proactive when they saw something that could be improved - such as opening another security line when too many passengers were waiting to reboard. Wait staff in the main dining room was excellent.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This ship is starting to show its age, with some minor maintenance issues. Concierge Class is nice for the cabin location but not sure the extra $ are worth the few improved amenities over the Veranda class.

Ship tip

Take advantage of the various common areas, especially the sky lounge. Wonderful open spaces, views and rarely crowded.

Tough to actually see many sites as we were in port the day of the Stockholm Marathon when the majority of the streets were closed. Took a hop on hop off boat, which I would recommend.

Copenhagen, Denmark

Rotterdam, Netherlands

4 out of 5
Originally planned to spend the day touring Rotterdam but opted instead, to leave directly for Amsterdam and spend our additional day there. Rotterdam is fine, but since it is mostly a port and a very modern city there isn't a lot of historical things to see. Good access to the Central Station and express trains to Amsterdam.

Disembarkation

We carried off our own luggage so were one of the first off the ship. Seemed quite efficient.
