I hate that all of this sounds negative, but I do have to say that we were VERY DISAPPOINTED in Celebrity. Akasha had told us how wonderful they were, and we were expecting that....when one has unmet expectations, one is disappointed, but more than that, the cruise, in general, was just not wonderful. Everyone that we talked with, long time Celebrity cruisers, et al were as disappointed as we were. Not sure I would ever cruise with them again!

Our steward was great, the waiters were good, but we mainly ate in the buffet as we were placed at a table with 2 couples who were just not anyone enjoyable.

mostly, although you can tell it is time to go into dry dock....lots of rust! carpets, worn, etc.

The size was as expected, cleanliness was fine, comfort, greatly lacking....bed not great, and the 'wonderful sheets/linens' bedraggled!
The ride of the ship, really everywhere, not just in the front, was a lot of side to side motion constantly....don't think the captain used the side extensions!
we 'picked up' a great excursion and loved it! Have been to St Thomas several times previously, but our excursion added to the trip this time, significantly!
Confused about the 4 stars. Sorry to hear about being disappointed. We haven't cruised Celebrity yet but I'm trying not to set my expectations too high. I think all of the cruise lines I've been on just aren't quite what they used to be. But I'm still hooked!
