A cruise is great way to go because you are settled in for the 9 days. No packing and unpacking. The lack of food from the areas is a huge disappointment and will probably not cruise again because of this. The excursions were not what we paid to see. Lots of time just driving. Be careful when scheduling. They need to offer more varied times and just a general overview of the highlights of the area.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Blu Restaurant was excellent. Our servers- Sebastiane, Sami, Conrad were first rate. My biggest disappointment is the ship does not have a menu reflecting the French and Italian area. We missed the awesome Italian and French wines and food from the region.
The Ocean View Cafe had plenty of options. A concern are the massive number of people there.
Onboard Activities

Ship tip
If scheduling excursions before the trip and they state sold out, you can usually get the excursion once on the boat. The excursion the Cinque Terre was extremely disappointing.
The excursion said Cinque Terre. We only say one town and were there so early the restaurants were not open. This excursion was a huge disappointment for the cost. They should have went to the furthest point and came back towards Livorno and definitely include 2 more towns. No need to go to Port Verne
The excursion to the Amalfi cost was messed up due to a rock slide. It was difficult to converse with our driver since he had limited English language. We were supposed to have lunch and never did. He did try to show us other areas but we were on a drive by tour with no narration.
BEWARE of the cab drivers. They were charging double the fee. They did not tell us they did not accept charge cards until we reached the hotel in Rome. . This was a huge disaster.
