Celebrity's friendliest ship - from the Captain on down. Newly refurbished ship was contemporary and stylish - we liked the improved functionality within the cabin. The itinerary wa well thought out. Note: prepare for long trips from ports to cities. by JJandEB

Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Except for getting to and from there (flying) one of our best ever.

Fabulous South East Asia Cruise. by raysha46

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I was apprehensive of so many sea days, however; after the long tour days, which were hot and humid, I was quite appreciative of those days. Well balanced between tour and sea days. Lot's to keep one's interest on the ship.

Great Cruise by harveyf4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall this was an excellent cruise. Ship was in relatively good condition for its age-it was clean and neat. Food was very good. Blu restaurant a wonderful venue to dine in. Crew and staff service was terrific. Ports of call were all great and the tours and guides were very good.

bucket list trip by MaryS28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

loved the tours to Xian and the terracotta soldiers & the Great Wall. You can keep South Korea dirty & not much to see. Toyko lots of people & highways. Be prepared for the long distance between ports and destination at port.

Disappointed with Celebrity by reg4uny

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We paid a lot of money for a suite, but didn’t know it was going to be in such bad shape. The veranda was very small and needed painting, and the furniture is very tired. The view was less than suitable with a lifeboat that was very dirty directly beneath us. Fresh fruit does not have mold on it ( I have a photo of it).

Typhoon Changes by whitelawcs

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I’m impressed how well changes and accommodations could be made in Yokohama because of a typhoon, then later the itinerary changes because of the second typhoon. Celebrity shore excursions were expensive, and none for the “mild” activity rating. A nice alternative was the availability of free shuttles.

The "Willie Wonka" Cruise by Travelingwoman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Transpacific

Ended up sending a total of 7 meals back to the kitchen for various reasons, and food was mediocre overall. Many of the restaurant staff were brand new, and it appears this was their training cruise. Guest entertainers were, for the most part, third rate and a couple were terrible. Ship is old and looks it.

We had a blast by cindyburnett1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Captain Alex was awesome. He notified us one night about the northern lights. If not for that we would have missed that experience. He always kept us informed and has a great sense of humor. This is the cruise to take if you are trying to decide which Alaska cruise to take.

Great trip, bad disembarkment at the end left bad taste in my mouth. Celebrity has you fill out disembarkment info online, but then doesn't obviously use that information at all, which makes no sense to not use it. Take it off the online registration. by casully

I was disappointed with two things, I wanted to travel more during the day when we were within sight of land, but a lot of the traveling was done during the dark. I went to Alaska to see the scenery and wildlife. I went to the shopping helpful info talk in the theatre and was disappointed about the commercialization of it. I was not at all interested in buying jewelry and this seemed like the theme of this trip.

FANTASTIC ALASKA CRUISE!!!!! by JoCruiser2018

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Alaska should be on everyone’s list......can’t say enough good things about our trip. If you can take time off, fly into seattle for a few days, then head up to vancouver. Both cities are awesome! Then do the northbound inside passage cruise arriving at Seward. All the ports are wonderful, and cruising at Hubbard Glacier was amazing. Captain Alex was the nicest ship captain ever, and he gave us the best day of glacier watching imaginable. Be sure to do a land tour once in Seward, and DO NOT miss Mt. Denali!!! Saving the best for last, was such a treat for us all. Celebrity did a fantastic job and we will never forget this adventure of a lifetime!

Pretty good cruise on an nice older ship by 2berto

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

I had read a lot about the overhang above many of the rooms (including Aqua Class) on deck 9 - these pics. kind of show what it's like. It's really only an issue if you are trying to take a wide angle photo or if something is close up and very high. For 98% of the time it is not a problem - in fact if it is raining or if the sun is really out and baking things, you'll be glad it is there. If you really want a true full view veranda - the suites on level 6 Aft (a bit spendy) are nice but you can be seen from rooms above. The only other problem with this room is the shower - it is great with wall jets and rain head etc.. but the nice glass doors they have don't seal well and you tend to get water on the floor. (poor stateroom attendant kept it up as nice as possible) . To Aqua Class or not: we did it on a whim and at a good price - mostly for the access to dine in Blu - much nicer experience than the MDR. Other than the last night (there must have been some staff issue) , the service was impeccable. Also enjoyed breakfast on 3 mornings in Blu - a really calm, luxury dining experience. We also took advantage of the free access to the spa's Persian Garden (2 steamrooms + 1 dry and really nice heated lounge) - they sell a week access to others for $109 or $20 /day . These two perks make the Aqua class worth it if you can get a good price. The priority embarkation saved us 15-20 min. The sparkling wine comp is a bottle of their house sparkler (sells for $35 aboard) - not bad - it is what you would expect from a basic house wine. The other listed perks of Aqua are not much to worry about. Th itinerary was really good - it gave a good sample of what coastal Alaska is like. They get in really close to the Hubbard Glacier which is spectacular -great viewing from the room and even better up on deck 11. The ship remained at 1/4 - 1/2 from the face (turning a few times) for about 40 minutes . Juneau was great - we were there from 7am to 9pm so there was ample time to see things. The best was the "Mendenhall Glacier paddle and trek" excursion - where we paddled across Mendenhall lake to the glacier and put on crampon spikes and hiked the glacier ice for about an hour. ( expensive, limited availability, small group but worth it - they provide all the gear needed) . Ketchikan is a really cool little city - the Alaskan Riviera ! Icy Straight (Hoonah) is a small little village with a very small cruise port and a shuttle to take you 1 1/2 to the village. They have a zip line (world's largest ?) but watching those who did it, it didn't seem that cool ~ $175 pp.

Very pleasant vacation by jmolinar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Ahmad was amazing with being hospitable and with the cleanliness of our room. All staff around the ship was always professional and willing to help when needed. The Cafe food was decent and was well rounded for all tastes. The desserts were beautiful but lacked taste. Our embarkment was so smoothe but unfortunately we saw that we missed pictures. I was a little disappointed as we still don’t know where they were taken. I felt so smooshed when dining at the Metropolitan but the staff was always willing to help. The food was mediocre and at times bland so we ate more times in the cafe or off the ship when we were at port. The entertainment was good but was hoping for more family fun since we seemed to always be in bad weather.

WONDERFUL! by christaandtia

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

This was one of my favorite vacations ever! Even my husband who didn't like to cruise has been converted! Aqua is the only way to go! Our room steward was great! Room was always tidy and we had fresh tea and snacks everyday. Aqua dining was amazing! Everyone from the hostess, Sommelier, and servers were fantastic! Our server, I wish I could remember his name was phenomenal! He was in the very back of the dining room. Euglena was also in the dining room and she was so sweet! Just loved her! The spa was also another wonderful experience! We will definitely be booking another Celebrity cruise in the near future!
