Fantastic!!! by EdM5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Just got back Sunday evening and I have to say that this was a fantastic ship and a great experience. The boyfriend and I had a great time. The staff was excellent, from our cabin staff, the waiter in the restaurant and the bar servers who took care of us. Coming from a background in luxury hotels, I have experienced excellent service and I have to say that watching the interactions I saw with staff assisting guests was uplifting to know that people understand what service is all about. I am still trying to collect my thoughts about this cruise it was that great! Am now trying to plan another Celebrity Cruise for next year!

Time of our lIfe by SharonC13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We traveled with our 17 year old son and his friend, they had their own cabin across the hall. Everyone loved the adventure. It is the best family vacation going, and this cruise line is the only one I will travel on. They know how to take care of their passengers, and you always feel that they are happy to be there for you. The meals are spectacular, I don't know how I can eat every two hours, still be hungry for more food and lose weight. It happens every cruise I trake with Celebrity. We want to travel to the Mediterrean next and possibly the southern Caribbean as well. Can't wait until next time!!!!

Top-notch cruise by DianneJ1

Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our second cruise and booked as a last minute excursion. What a surprise! The ship and total experience was first-class. We will definitely cruise this ship line again. The entertainment was Las Vegas quality. We ,and everyone we talked to on the ship, mentioned enjoying the shows immensely. We are threatre-going and appreciate good entertainment and were not disappointed on this cruise.

A Cruise Line Unforgettable by MarilynS5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our recent cruise on the Millennium. This ship met all our expectations of a Celebrity cruise line ship. We have been on about 12 cruises mostly on Celebrity. We tried a few other cruise lines and we found that they cannot compare to the Celebrity Ships. This is the only line we plan to book in the future. Century, Zenith, Infinity, Summit and Millennium are the ships we were guests on, I cannot wait to cruise again on Celebrity it is quite addicting!

Celebrity Caribbean Crunch Time by PeggyH2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

January 21, 2007, was earmarked for months, as the week trip to the Caribbean aboard Celebrity's beautiful Ship, The Millenium. This was my husband's and my 4th Caribbean Cruise. We were eager to return to The Millenium, having been our first experience cruising due to a wedding event a few years earlier. Usually my husband makes the air travel arrangements, arriving the night before near the Port. This time, we had the cruise line make all the travel arrangements. We were not overly concerned when our flight arrangements arrived showing they had booked us with a lay over in Atlanta from Cincinnati, arriving in Ft. Lauderdale less than 2 hours before the Millenium's departure. What should have been factored in for flight arrangements is weather. We sat on the ground in Cincinnati, waiting for lift off for over an hour and 1/2. This caused us to miss the Atlanta connection. Fortunately there was another flight to Ft. Lauderdale 30 minutes after arriving late into Atlanta. At the airport in Ft. Lauderdale, we were met by Celebrity People by the baggage, eager to get our luggage, and bus us to the Millenium. One out of four of our luggage pieces was not to be found. We had to scurry, being bussed to the dock, with the gang plank literally brought in as we ran onto the ship. I am sure we amused the other Millenium Cruisers watching us on deck with their life jackets on, having just completed the mandatory drill. We made the ship just 2 minutes prior to it's departure! This was nerve wracking. What we found in the stateroom quickly smoothed our senses. A bottle of champagne, a bowl of fresh fruit, fresh flowers, even in the bathroom! Our stateroom Attendant was all concerned smiles, commenting that she was worried we had missed the cruise! We had an early dinner seating, which we were able to attend, albeit a bit ruffled, smoothed a bit with champagne embibed in the room. The Table we sat at had wonderful people, we all got along well and plan to keep in touch. The Food is the BEST, the cleanliness is the BEST, the Crew of the Ship are the BEST. Food can be found from work out health cuisine to breaded weinerschnitzel with mashed potatoes. Chocaholics, the quality of chocolate is excellent, not the waxy stuff I've had on other cruise lines. The excursions are easy to make on board. We also used the website to choose and dream on before we left for the trip. Magen's Bay, on St. Thomas, was lovely, surreal in the water temperature being just right, and sunshine with shade trees on the beach. We did a lot of walking on our own in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. Except for the missing piece, our other luggage arrived on time to our stateroom. The unfortunate missing luggage containing my husbands daily prescriptions came 2 days later at the first port in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to the Consierge attentive service. Let this be a lesson Travelers! Prescriptions should remain in your carry on!

Good cruise by SteveB14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Food was excellent. Service was even better. The staff was more friendly than any ship I have been on. They went out of their way to remember our names and greet us. Not enough ship amenities or activities. Not recommended for younger people. Most activities were geared towards older crowd. Everything closed very early at night. Food quality was excellent but not enough selection. There were numerous times throughout the day where room service was the only option to eat.

A very nice cruise by ClaudC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was very nice. This was the first time we sailed on the Millennium. We had sailed on the sister ship, the Summit on two previous cruises. I thought the decor of the ship was somewhat "ho hum". It did not compare to the decor of the RCL Enchantment of the Seas, which we sailed in July, 2006

Just Average by SteveA7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

With all the hype about Celebrity being a "step above" both from their advertisements, as well as from a relative and our cruise consultant (both of whom last sailed on Celebrity years ago), we found the Celebrity experience to be marginal to average. Perhaps it was just this sailing, as other passengers on this ship who have sailed with Celebrity more recently stated that they were disappointed on this cruise. Or perhaps the expectation of something exceptional just didn't live up to the reality?

Concierge class???? by PatrickG2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We were very excited about the concierge class and booked two adjointing rooms. The benefits were supposed to be amazing, pillow menu, prefered boarding and departures ect. Not only was it difficult to find options as far as pillows go, the rooms are smalller than most cruise lines. We brought a 2 year old and instead of subjecting everyone to her in the dining room we choose to do room service. They advertise dining room menus in the state room. The truth is only after 7:30. a two year old is not going to wait till 7:30. There is no buffet as an alternative, only a grill that has 3 items to choose from. That gets really old after 7 days. They advertise as a culinary series, but served turkey breast at the lunch buffet three times. Best meal of the cruise was in port in San Juan. Very disappointing cruise, most expensive ever.

New Year's Eve Cruise by AlineD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

A great crew and nice ship. We especially enjoyed the heated, wave pool with the spa jets. Wonderful entertainment. One drawback - the ship seems to have ongoing problems with it's engines. We were forced to miss 2 of our 4 ports due to engine problems. The cruise line did give us a refund for the missed ports. I really wish bottled water or sodas were provided free of charge!

A dream experience by InesS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The staff on board were exceptional. They reallly got to know us and our needs and were very helpful throughout our trip. We traveled with small children and they provided extra touches and made sure our kids had fun. We never had to ask for extra towels or help for the kids. they seemed to think ahead for us and meet the needs before we asked. Each port in Alaska was exciting and the staff offered informative details about the towns and interesting facts. We were able to kayak near a galcier and were surrounded by Bald Eagles! It was spectacular. We came with a very large group as a family reunion and felt that everyone was attended to with their particular needs- whether they were ages 5-75.

Great ship! Great Itenary! Great time! Food was excellent. Excursions were the highlights. My wife received a complementary spa treatment, so service was very good. This was the inaugural year for Millennium so pretty much everything was on point.
