Review summary

Bunch of cancelled ports, but fun nonetheless. Had some of the best food of any cruise.

Embarkation

Got on easy and with no hassle. Not much else to say.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent for my taste. The lunch buffet was best on embarkation day. That had a wonderful seafood paella never to be seen again. LePetit Chef was very good and so was the Tuscan Grill. The main dining room was beautiful and the food and service were top notch.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Maybe it’s just me, but I found there to be few interesting activities on board. There were a few lectures and trivia games, but other than that, there was nothing. I was particularly disappointed with the sail away party, or better yet, lack there of.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
There was a card magician, some amazing singers, an acrobatics duo, and a cello player. I don’t want to be harsh, but I’ve definitely seen better on other ships. Entertainment is not this ship’s strong suit, but that’s just my opinion.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Absolutely excellent. The staff is something else. I don’t know how they do it. I had people greeting me by name at least 5 or 6 times every time I walked from my stateroom to the dining room. What incredible service!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is very clean, but it does show its age in the carpeting around the room corridors. There is also no impressive atrium or anything like that. I must say, the ship was rather unimpressive in that aspect; however, the main dining room and lounges are absolutely beautiful.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This room has a larger balcony than most of the others. I did hear a lot of wind, but I can’t say if that’s due to the positioning (it’s towards the front) or the weather that particular night.

Ship tip

It’s a classic cruise experience centered more on service and great food than exciting entertainment or activities.

Ports of call

St. John's, Antigua

Amazing! Go to darkwood beach if you can. It has a great beachfront restaurant and one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. It’s on par with Megan’s Bay in St. Thomas.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Beach was dirty and had a lot of seaweed. Saw some face masks floating around.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

The French part has the better beaches and is much nicer.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Always great!
