Review summary

Met a lot of new friends, great Retreat hosts and Bartenders!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy to board, only problem is that we were waiting with everyone and noticed some people going right on so asked if there was a separate boarding for our Celebrity Suite and then they escorted us to embark.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate in Luminae for dinner and it was good, but slow service and not as good of selections as previous cruises. No prime rib, lobster 1 night of 10. Escargot overnight was great, but half the time only luke warm. Sommelier was great, but busy so had to wait a while before she could take our order.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Spent time in the Retreat Sundeck, it was nice and the only place where we had bar service. No service at the main pool.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Went to two shows, Magician was good, Boogie Nights, not as good. Guitar player was excellent and we followed him.

Children's Programs

No kids with us.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff in the Ocean View cafe did not seem cheerful nor did they interact with us to ask for drinks, etc. They were very quick to clear tables. I usually got my own drink for lunch. Lots of staff standing around.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Design was great. Clean and fairly well maintained inside.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was beautiful, maybe too many knick knacks, lol. Beautiful windows and shades. Not many drawers in closet-6 small. Good hanging space. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Not fond of the Bigelow products in the bathroom. Small selection of tv channels and movies. Noise from the Pool grill above around 10am thru 5pm but only noticed it most of day we spent in the cabin the last sea day when they loaded and unloaded carts of supplies.

Ports of call

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

We did an excursion to see some highlights. Pleasantly surprised.

St. John's, Antigua

Did an excursion, nice island.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Shopped on the pier and on front street. Some shops closed due to it being Sunday.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy but would have liked to leave a little later, 8:00 to get the bus to the airport is too early. Would have liked 9:30 as we were in the Retreat Lounge.
