Review summary

This cruise was absolutely fantastic. While the itinerary was not the most exciting for Alaska, it was so much fun to see the ports and the natural beauty of Southeast Alaska. The crew was phenomenal, the ship is in excellent condition, and the weather during my sailing was perfect!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation at Pier 66 in Seattle was easy and well organized. There were several points where we had to show a negative COVID test, boarding pass, passport, etc. From curb to ship was less than 10 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food on Celebrity is always consistently good. The MDR was open and operating as normal with phenomenal service and great food. I love that the Oceanview Cafe (buffet) has switch to crew members serving the food since it controls portions better and I witnessed multiple people walking in to the buffet without washing or sanitizing their hands! Happy to have them not touching the serving utensils.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
For Alaska cruises, there is less structured activity/poolside games and more sightseeing/lectures. The trivia was good, the lectures were good, and the silent disco is always fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I especially enjoyed the string duo playing live music in the afternoons.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew is always incredible on Celebrity. From bartenders, waiters, Officers, public area attendants. They all go above and beyond, take pride in their work, and are so friendly.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I had a family veranda stateroom which is generally not available to book with less than 4 people, however I am glad I did. The room is so spacious, well laid out, and has a separate sitting area with the additional pull out/pull down beds. The best part of this room is the massive aft-facing corner balcony (nearly the size of the room!) which has unobstructed views out the back and port side of the ship.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER Did not visit port

We were not able to make it to the glacier due to heavy fog, but it did enable us to arrive into Juneau 4 hours early. I was able to visit the Mendenhall glacier which was more impressive than Dawes anyway.

Disembarkation

Disembarkation was a breeze. There we no loud announcements, the crew was as friendly as always, and the baggage pickup process was easy.
