Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was beautifully cooked and well presented and good portion sizes.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The quality of the entertainment was excellent and we tried to go to as many of the shows as we could.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff we encountered went out of their way to be helpful. I kept bumping my leg against the bed and our room attendant ensured that he put extra padding on that area so that it would not happen again.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was lovely and clean and the decor was elegant.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The stateroom we had was well presented and very comfortable. It had a balcony which was a bonus for us. We were on the top deck and the cruise was very smooth.

Ports of call

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
This was my most favourite place. The buildings in the main streets are all olde world with timber walkways and made you feel like you were back in the 1800s. The town is very well set out and is a pleasant walk.
Don't Miss: A must do is the Yukon-White Pass train trip from Skagway to Carcross. The scenery is awesome especially on a sunny day.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Juneau is a thriving city. The Mount Roberts Tramway is a worthwhile experience, especially if it is a clear day. Again lots of jewellery shops with very pushy sales people.
Don't Miss: The Mendenhall Glacier is something that should not be missed.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Great enterprise by the locals. Went for walk into Hoonah town which was an eye opener. Also the zip rider was worth seeing.
Don't Miss: Don't miss doing the walk around the point through the rainforest.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Lovely town in keeping with the olde world charm. Visit the Totem Bight State Historical Park and the Totem Heritage Centre. I thought there were too many jewellery shops with very pushy sales people.
Don't Miss: Don't miss visiting historic Creek Street which is the old section of town with houses built on poles.

Pros: The friendly staff and the general appearance of the ship.

Cons: There was nothing that I did not like on this ship.
