10 Night Mexican Riviera (San Diego Roundtrip)
Sail Date: March 17, 2006
Ship: Celebrity Mercury
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Large Group
Reviewed: 7 years ago
The ship was actually fairly nice, but worn. The norovirus was on board and the constant bleaching and leaving the bleach wet and dripping on every conceivable surface was sickening. We were on the second sailing that had the norovirus and we were not warned that the previous sailing had over 200 passengers ill with the virus. Although we applauded the crew's efforts to control the virus, they completely trashed the ship with the bleach. We learned later that this was not CDC protocol.
