Review summary

I highly recommend this cruise! The itinerary and crew were great. We also lucked out with fantastic weather.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Although boarding was delayed due to enhanced cleaning, things were organized and easy. We were on board and enjoying lunch in the Ocean View Cafe shortly after 1:00. I also witnessed terminal staff expediting embarkation for passengers with mobility issues, which I thought was very kind. Another bonus was how early cabins were ready and available. Since I never heard an announcement and we went to our cabin right after lunch, I am thinking they may have been ready as we boarded.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate most of our dinners in Blu since we were Aqua class and the filet mignon and lobster were excellent! Some of the other meals were a bit hit or miss for our tastes. Remember in Blu, you can also order off the MDR menu. There were even nights we chose to eat in the Ocean View after long days outside enjoying the views or just for a different/lighter or quicker meal. On a 14 night cruise, it's nice to have variety.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This itinerary offered multiple seasons; the day we boarded in Buenos Aires it was mid 90s so the pool was perfect and many enjoyed it the first and last days when the weather was warm. The fitness center offered a good variety of equipment but unfortunately there wasn't an instructor on this cruise so no classes were available. Many days the best activity was sight seeing, the views were fantastic and the Constellation Lounge was one of our favorites, watching thunderstorms from the Constellation Lounge was great fun!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Cruise director Alejandro is the best I have ever seen (27 previous cruises). The amount and variety of activities was amazing. They certainly tried to offer options for the diverse passenger base. Some of our favorite things were the naturalist talks with Celia Garland (she is AMAZING!), the nightly shows and live music all around the ship. There were also game shows, art auctions and I saw some passengers participating in a scavenger hunt.

Service and Staff

The crew couldn't do enough for us, they were wonderful!!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I love this size ship and even though it is still waiting for refurbishing it was great. I hope to be back on the Infinity in the future.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very nice balcony cabin and sufficient storage even for 14 nights and having to pack everything from shorts to layers and puffy coats, hats and gloves.

Ship tip

Visit the Constellation Lounge at off times (or for a drink before dinner) and remember you can order off the MDR menu if eating in the Blu restaurant.

Bluff Cove Lagoon is absolutely wonderful. The King and Gentoo penguins were a treat, the Gentoos played in the ocean like children, chasing each other and riding waves!

Disembarkation

Excellent!! We had a late flight so took advantage of an excursion, The best of Buenos Aires. It worked out beautifully, after putting luggage out on Friday night we didn't see it or worry about it until we arrived at the airport late Saturday afternoon. It was like getting a bonus day of vacation.
