Very uncharacteristic of Celebrity! Shame on them!

Huge disappointment is putting it mildly.
Took over 2 hours in main dining room to get served and it might have taken longer but we got up and left.
The buffet was cold, not enough of anything and not much variety. Not up to Celebrity standard at all!
Onboard Activities

Pool etc was fine, but at Deal or No Deal they didn’t have the staff to support ticket buying or the bar. I

Other than our cabin steward the rest of the staff was awful. Not nearly as friendly or capable as we have experienced on Celebrity before . It wasn’t the employee’s fault because they were grossly understaffed and kept moving the staff around from one area to another and none of them were properly trained. The lady at the toaster station in the Oceanview at breakfast didn’t even know how to put the bread in the toaster or that bagels need to be cut in half before putting them in the toaster!

It was ok, but the staff was not attentive to picking up dishes in the Oceanview regularly or picking up things on the floor .
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was clean but our phone didn’t work, we didn’t have a cover plate on the AC thermostat and the worst was the TV didn’t work. It took 3 days and 3 trips to the service desk and a call to our concierge to finally get someone to show up to fix it. We never did get the AC cover….
Ship tip
Don’t sail with them until they can get their act together. We have sailed on this ship before and it was outstanding so we know they can do it. It is just a rip off that folks had to pay to go on this cruise when they obviously were not ready!
It sounds like you were on one of the first few cruises of the Infinity, the last ship to come back on line post shutdown. When a ship comes back online, there will be kinks that have to be worked out. Understanding and patience is a must.
I love Celebrity Infinity when I sailed on the boat in December 2019. Yes some of the staff were stuck up and snobby, but I enjoyed the ship anyway. The one thing I didn't like was a long line for lunch to go to the main Trellis restaurant and the teeny tiny tables. Plus the small portions; I didn't know at the time that I can order more than one of a portion if I wanted it. Anyway, I'll wait until next year to sail on Celebrity again.
