Review summary

We pre-purchased the Premier Pass package. Guest Relations had no clue about this pkg since it was new. Took 6 visits to GR to straighten everything out. Always ask for a copy of your bill before leaving the ship. There were mistakes but were taken care of at GR. We sent 1 bag of laundry to wash (part of the pkg) and the clothes didn't smell fresh. Don't bother with this service. The detergents are lousy and the clothes was roughly cleaned.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We did not embark in Rome which was where the ship departed. We embarked in Barcelona and our luggage porter took us directly to ship's security control at the gangway. The staff knew we were embarking in Barcelona and a representative came to greet us and helped us board. No issues

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The QSine restaurant was amazing. Tuscan was nothing spectacular. The main dining room's food was ok. The buffet was ok as well. Drinks (coffee, water) are very expensive. We bought a Premium Wine package with 5 bottles and the selection was good. We cancelled our reservation at Sushi on Five since it is A La Carte and very expensive.

Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria

4 out of 5

Nice for coffee and the pastries were included in the price. Our favorite spot for espresso and mocha coffee. The seats could use upgrades but was one of our favorite areas of the ship.

Le Petit Chef at Qsine

5 out of 5

This was our favorite restaurant. The "hologram" entertainment on our tables/plates was super cute. The food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not many Onboard Activities. Standard stuff around the pool and in the lounges. Nothing great. Being a TransAtlantic cruise, we expected better.

Shops on the Boulevard

2 out of 5

Same old stuff and overpriced.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Only had two production shows that were excellent. The rest were singers and instrumentalists that were ok but nothing great. Seriously...two shows with trumpet players!!! The Juggler was good. Some musicians and singers around the ship were very good. Being a TransAtlantic cruise, we expected better.

Constellation Lounge

3 out of 5

Seats were uncomfortable. This is a general comment for most of the seating on the Infinity. The entertainment was average. Bingo was horrible with little participation.

Children's Programs

Didn't travel with children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward (Mimi) was great. Our Table Sommelier (Suwanna) was very knowledgeable and professional. We went to a Food & Wine Pairing with Sommelier Fernando that was very good. We had an Inside Access Tour and Senior Officers/Captain's Lunch included as part of our package. This was excellent. We ate at the BLU for a party of about 20. This was fantastic. The table was a long rectangle with the officers sitting with our group. We sat next to Maxwell Wannenburgh, the Revenue and Marketing Director from the Isle of Man. We thoroughly loved this luncheon.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean but this ship is going into Dry Dock at the end of 2020. Definitely showing some wear and tear. Not sure what they mean by being refurbished in 2018...didn't see it.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and comfortable. Loved the shower! It was a rectangle and not a small square. The room was very good. Remember to take extra hangars with you. Careful with the water they put in the room - expensive. We just refilled our water bottles at the buffet.

Ship tip

This is not a large ship so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Still, it was a good cruise. The weather was amazing. Smooth sailing with no rough seas.

We didn't do an excursion but walked around near the Cathedral. Visited the Cathedral and had lunch.

Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Canary Islands

Best excursion! We did the visit to the Teide volcano - Canadas del Teide tour. Our tour guide, Carlos was extremely informative and the drive to/from the Teide was beautiful. Carlos was the best guide to date! The bus was clean and comfortable.

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Our final destination - home. Took a taxi and the taxi driver was horrible. She took the long way around and thought we were tourists. When we started to complain, she became very aggressive. I will be taking an UBER or LYFT next time!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Long, late and tedious but what disembarkation in Miami isn't!!!
