Review summary

We booked Aqua Class, since it was a TA (we had gratuities included) we purchased the beverage and internet package...I was most disappointed in lack of normal inclusions such as appetizers (even though not great), champagne / wine, and the daily activities during the day were very limited and not many options. The morning seminars (Beyond the Podium) started at 9 and 10. should be spaced out....since we were traveling to Portugal and Spain you would think topics would cater to our stops. The cooking demos were help in the atrium....not good to viewing, need to return to restaurants.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Spainish choices during main seating should be offered. Limited variety of dinner choices for a 14 day cruise.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

3 out of 5
OK, not to normal standard. Should offer daily matinee entertainment and late evening star entertainment during long sea days.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service in Blu...Outstanding. Many wait staff in Oceanview and some of the bars were not to out past experience.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Missed refurbishment due to Flora launch...in major need of renovation. Ship though clean looked very tired.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our steward was great, but the bed had many dips, our shower head leaked, the sofa dipped and many dips and very low seating

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Ft Lauderdale port is very industrial and not friendly or convenient to find things to do without taking a taxi...can be expensive.

Funchal, Madeira

a last minute change of port from Azores, but wise move since the Azores had 4 ships that day. Tour with Green Devil Safari....lots of tour options. Wonderful island with diverse scenery, clement changes, history and life style....would be a great 2 day stop.

Lisbon, Portugal

5 out of 5
Very nice port, did tour with We Hate Tourism tours. Check out site, they offer many options. What is great the size of tour is no more than 6 per vehicle if not less, makes tour personable. Lunch is also offered.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
Tour with Spain Day Tour...Tour consisted of Giralda, Cathedral of Seville and Alcazar Royal Palace (all dy tour). Unfortunately the shipped docked late and technical porting issues.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
Our 3rd time there and still more to see and do. Tour with I Love Malaga tours. "Outstanding" tour was "Tapas, Market and Flamenco"...also a tour of old town. Group size was 4 which was just right.

Alicante, Spain

5 out of 5
We did tour through ship....Novelda and Wine Tasting. So much to see and do, I would recommend doing a city walking tour and check if any events are happening. Our friends enjoyed walking old town and ran into a festival.

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Always aa great city. This is our 4th visit and seen the main sites: Gaudi buildings, park, churches and cathedrals, Monserrat etc. This time a must see is the Music Place: buy tickets online to save a few dollars and to see if any performances.
